REGISTRATION PROCESS
1.
Initial Contact:
Prospective students can reach out to GNLC™ via phone, email, or through our website to inquire about programs, courses, and admission requirements.
2.
Information Session:
Interested students may be invited to attend an information session or open house to learn more about GNLC™, meet instructors, and ask questions about the program.
3.
Application Submission:
Students must complete and submit an application form, providing necessary documents such as transcripts, identification, and any relevant certifications.
4.
Interview:
Selected applicants may be required to participate in an interview to assess their interest in the program and suitability for the training.
5.
Acceptance Notification:
Successful applicants will receive an acceptance letter outlining the next steps, including registration details and any required deposits or fees.
6.
Financial Aid and Payment:
Students can explore financial aid options, scholarships, or payment plans available to assist with tuition and fees. They should finalize their payment arrangements before classes begin.
7.
Pre-Training Orientation:
Accepted students are invited to attend a pre-training orientation session, where they will receive important information about the program, policies, and expectations.

Class Preparation:
Students will be provided with a list of required materials, textbooks, and supplies, allowing them to prepare for their training.

Final Registration:

TRAINING ENVIRONMENT
At our vocational training center, we will provide a hands-on learning environment designed to simulate real-world conditions. Our plan for state-of-the-art facilities include outdoor pole yards and modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, ensuring that students are prepared for the dynamics of the powerline industry. Safety and teamwork are central to our training approach, creating a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for all participants.
IN CLASS LEARNING
In the classroom, students will engage with essential theoretical concepts that form the foundation of powerline work. Instructors with industry experience will guide discussions, provide insights, and ensure that each student fully understands the technical and safety standards. Interactive learning tools, such as presentations, videos, and hands-on demonstrations, will enhance understanding and material retention.
FIELD TRAINING
Field training is where students apply the knowledge gained in the classroom to real-life scenarios. Under the supervision of experienced instructors, students will work with the same tools and equipment used in the industry, practicing tasks such as climbing poles, handling live lines, and troubleshooting electrical issues. This hands-on experience is crucial for developing the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed as a powerline technician. Safety protocols are emphasized throughout all field exercises to ensure students are well-prepared for the demands of the job.
HOURS BREAKDOWN
The program is structured to provide a balanced mix of classroom instruction and field training. Typically, students will spend 40% of their time in the classroom, focusing on theory, safety practices, and technical knowledge. The remaining 60% is dedicated to field training, where hands-on learning takes place. This combination ensures that students not only understand the concepts but also gain the practical skills required for the job. Hours may vary slightly depending on specific course modules or training requirements.
PROGRAMS / CERTIFICATIONS
Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certification recognized by the industry, demonstrating their readiness to work as powerline technicians. The curriculum is designed to meet or exceed industry standards, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for entry-level positions. Additionally, students may earn specialized certifications in areas such as electrical safety, pole climbing, and working with high-voltage equipment, further enhancing their employability in the field.
